CURRENT PROJECTS and REPERTORY
BORDER/Lines is a socially and politically charged evening-length performance with dance, video imagery and text. The show explores the lines and boundaries that exist in our world today; how these lines define us... how they can separate and often divide us. The content of the show reflects the current atmosphere towards our borders from many angles, both personal and political. This layering of thought, the exploration of everything from the lines on our faces, to lines between our countries…creates it’s own “geography” of ideas. These ideas are presented in the form of questions, through movement, drama and humor, arriving at the recognition of the common threads that stretch between us all. Running time - 75 minutes.
“Bejarano’s…undisputed choreographic skill and ability to infuse dance with heart, fleshed out by her gifted company, portend a significant artistic event.”
Rocky Mountain Chronicle, April 2007
Threshold: Dances and Stories of Love and Loss is an evening length dance theatre performance that draws upon the personal stories of those who have lost a loved one. The words and set pieces for this performance were derived from participants in hospice art and writing programs. The company weaves stories with movement and soaring vocal accompaniment to create an experience that explores the complex process of grief, the joy of living and the universality of memories shared. Running Time – 65 minutes.
“…a stunningly creative representation of stories of loss, portrayed beautifully in movement and words.”

Everyday Places: Life in Ritual is both an installation and live performance that looks at the intersections between the contemporary art disciplines of dance, video and the visual arts. IMPACT’s artistic team of Director, Bejarano, Assistant Director, Lisa Morgan and Video Artist and Technical Director, Adam Brandon combine with visual artists Kaidi Dunstan, John Giarrizzo and textile artists Erika Howrey-Clark and Siobhan Elder to explore the everyday human patterns and tasks that become the basis for our living rituals. Since its inception, Everyday Places: Life in Ritual has toured in the region and continues to evolve to fill each new venue in which it is presented. The audience gains a unique experience and perspective, as they are asked to move throughout the performance space to view each piece of choreography as it unfolds. Running Time – 75 minutes.
“Painting reacting to video, choreography to painting, and video to both, including live interaction during performance, richly fills…separate pockets of the main gallery space with eight distinctive, collaborative pieces.”
