The Picasso Project
IMPACT Dance Company embarks on their latest creative project with the Museum of Art Fort Collins to present, The Picasso Project. The dancers of IMPACT have crafted several new pieces in response to the museum’s exhibit, Picasso as Printmaker: A Collector's Perspective - The Baller Art Collection. This performance is the latest of several collaborations with the museum in a relationship spanning 17 years. Past evening length performances created by IMPACT for the museum include, Moving Dalí (2017) and Frida! (2016) among others.
Presented by the Museum of Art Fort Collins
We have had a fabulous experience meeting with the collector of the exhibit, Dr. Robert Baller. We are grateful for the fruitful and fascinating discussions that we have shared with him about Picasso. The Baller Art Collection holds over 100 artworks by artists such as Picasso, Matisse, Miro, Chagall, Erte, and more. Using the Collection as a catalyst, Dr. Baller has been exhibiting and meeting the public for the past 20 years and he continues to look for opportunities to share this breathtaking selection of original works on paper with regional museums and art centers. This exhibit of Picasso's prints is not to be missed and although the show is one weekend only, ticket holders can return to see the exhibit through 2/5/23.
